In this image I decide to use the white border space to guide the viewer where I want them to look. Based on line I created a silhouette of an more over size man on the bottom left of the image above. All the line guide you to him and the text the once stood out, is now hide for you to find. The text says "works for that you find (or four)." Before the image was clean and crisp but now is a scavenger hunt for those who are will to find the hidden message. There is still a implied message but I made to more obvious this time. The silhouette of the over size man is to indicate that one should not worry but looking like the models in order to "fit in." The sophistication of the last image was broken apart (literally) and is now a choas of more meaningful self reflection.
Some of the Elements of Design that are visible in the magazine image above are line, shape, form, colour, value, texture, space, pattern, contrast, emphasis, and variety. Line is visible both horizontally and vertically based on how each photo was arranged. Some elements even intertwine with one another or enhances the other. For example, shape is used in a repeating pattern being all rectangles to create emphasis like the rectangle with text and the models that surrounded it along side with the border that create both positive and negative space. Emphasis is also shown in the photographs by the blur effect on the background of each model. Color and texture go hand and hand as well with the cloth each model wears. There is no only variety in the clothes each model wears but there is variety in each models and in the setting each model is in as well. If you look attentively, one may see that there are only two models and two setting from different perspective. Since each model as a different lighting and value, it makes it hard for the viewer to tell whether or not there is only two model. Besides the fact that the models have different color and textural clothes, one may also notice that in order to create a repetitive pattern to be more subtle, each image is juxtaposed next to the other and diagonal as well.
Some of the implied messages that are visible in the magazine image are one, the font that is being presented in the center rectangle of that image. The text is also a form of emphasis since it's all caps, it's is also slanted therefore suggesting some sort of sophistication. Two, every image is clean cut and crisp including the white border outside from each photo also suggesting a type of sophistication. The color scheme of the clothes is based around the monochromatic neutral colors giving a polished look to the models and page. The texture of the clothes is the only thing one might say that breaks the sophistication of the whole composition but because of the urban setting, the fact that each model is wearing what looks like an expensive watch and the specific labeling of each type of cloths in bold text, we are brought back to the theme of sophistication.
